{"id":2900,"date":"2026-05-03T13:45:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-03T04:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lionheart.co.jp\/?post_type=case&#038;p=2900"},"modified":"2026-08-12T19:52:56","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T10:52:56","slug":"fisherman-and-chef-creating-goodness-in-between-maruto","status":"publish","type":"case","link":"https:\/\/www.lionheart.co.jp\/en\/case\/%e6%bc%81%e5%b8%ab%e3%81%a8%e6%96%99%e7%90%86%e4%ba%ba%e3%80%81%e3%81%9d%e3%81%ae%e9%96%93%e3%81%ab%e3%80%8c%e8%89%af%e3%80%8d%e3%82%92%e3%81%a4%e3%81%8f%e3%82%8b%e3%80%82%e3%81%be%e3%82%8b%e3%81%a8\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating &quot;goodness&quot; between fishermen and chefs: Maruto Suisan&#039;s branding."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was in charge of designing the corporate website and logo for Maruto Suisan, a long-established seafood processing and fresh fish wholesaler that has been operating for over 150 years at Toyohama Fishing Port in Minamichita, Aichi Prefecture.<br>Maruto Suisan, founded in 1868 (the first year of the Meiji era), had an e-commerce site for general consumers, but they faced the challenge of not being able to effectively express the company&#039;s history and commitment to quality.<br>Through repeated discussions with the fifth-generation president, I learned that the seafood processing business, which multiplies the value of purchased seafood many times over, plays a hub-like role in the fishing industry. Since its raison d&#039;\u00eatre can be said to be to foster good relationships between fishermen and chefs, we established the concept of &quot;A Hub for the Bountiful Coast.&quot;<br>Then, a logo was created that expresses the &quot;three-way win&quot; philosophy, or rather, the &quot;three-way win&quot; concept, which has benefited the fishermen who are the sellers, the chefs and buyers who are the buyers, and the Toyohama region.
