Creating "goodness" between fishermen and chefs: Maruto Suisan's branding.

I was in charge of designing the corporate website and logo for Maruto Suisan, a long-established seafood processing and fresh fish wholesaler that has been operating for over 150 years at Toyohama Fishing Port in Minamichita, Aichi Prefecture.
Maruto Suisan, founded in 1868 (the first year of the Meiji era), had an e-commerce site for general consumers, but they faced the challenge of not being able to effectively express the company's history and commitment to quality.
Through repeated discussions with the fifth-generation president, I learned that the seafood processing business, which multiplies the value of purchased seafood many times over, plays a hub-like role in the fishing industry. Since its raison d'être can be said to be to foster good relationships between fishermen and chefs, we established the concept of "A Hub for the Bountiful Coast."
Then, a logo was created that expresses the "three-way win" philosophy, or rather, the "three-way win" concept, which has benefited the fishermen who are the sellers, the chefs and buyers who are the buyers, and the Toyohama region. The website was also based on the same concept, with a distinctive main visual and catchphrase created, and on-site interviews and still photography were conducted to express the commitment to discerning quality.
