STEP
01 Task
Customer's challenge
In anticipation of market changes brought about by the electronic and advanced nature of vehicle control systems, we will redefine our company's value proposition.
Nissin Technis is a manufacturing company that has been involved in precision machining, mainly of automotive parts, for over 70 years. In addition to cutting using lathes and milling machines, they have continued to create products that meet customer requirements by combining a variety of processing technologies, including plastic deformation processes such as cold forging, heading, and rolling.
Meanwhile,Our main product is the handle lock component,With the changing automotive structure brought about by the spread of electric vehicles, a decline in future production was anticipated. In addition to protecting the achievements cultivated in existing markets, it was necessary to redefine "what Nissin Technis's strengths are and what kind of company we aim to become in the future" in order to enter other industries and challenge new technologies.
Furthermore, externally, the value of our ability to select the optimal method from multiple processing techniques and respond flexibly by leveraging the expertise of experienced engineers was not being adequately communicated. Internally, future goals and core values for decision-making were not fully shared, and a common language was needed to enable proactive challenges across departments.
Therefore, we positioned the corporate website as an information infrastructure for new business development, the recruitment site as a platform for acquiring young talent and internal branding, and the brochures as sales tools at trade shows where automotive-related manufacturers gather. The challenge was not to create individual materials, but to define common brand values and design the project to consistently communicate them both internally and externally.
02 LH Method Strategy Development
Organize current status and challenges (Organize current status and challenges, and commit to realizing the vision)
Rebuilding diverse technologies and experiences as "the power to derive the optimal solution"
Before considering the expression of each product, Lionheart first organized its business objectives, market environment, technological assets, and organizational challenges. With the overarching objective of "contributing to society through technology that meets customer needs," they formulated a branding strategy that simultaneously strengthened sales activities, improved their image in recruitment, and unified internal values.
We identified our core strength as having a comprehensive range of processing methods, including turning, milling, cold forging, and rolling. Furthermore, our engineers, with over half a century of accumulated experience, can understand our customers' requirements regarding quality, cost, and delivery time, and respond flexibly through combinations of processing methods and technical proposals.
Rather than simply describing this value as "having abundant processing technology," we articulate it as "a company that combines the best products in the optimal form to meet the required conditions."Our main product is the steering lock component.Building on the impression of "fitting perfectly," we developed the tagline "Good things that fit perfectly" as a core brand element that can be expanded to any product or industry in the future.
Our tagline embodies our commitment to leveraging variability and adaptability to arrive at the optimal solution, our ability to precisely meet customer needs, and the clarity with which everyone in the company can explain, "This is what we are confident in."
Furthermore, we extended the same brand value across the company website, recruitment website, and brochures, organizing the target audience and the information conveyed according to each platform's role. This design seamlessly integrates sales, recruitment, and internal branding, creating a common foundation that supports the company's future growth.
03 LH Solution Implementation Support
Solve the problem (Solve the problem with LH solution)
Designed to allow brand experience at each touchpoint: corporate interactions, recruitment, and trade shows.
Based on the brand strategy we formulated, Lionheart provided comprehensive support for the planning and production of the company website, recruitment website, and sales brochures.
■ Corporate website: "Sales offices" that convey technological options and proposal capabilities
The company website features the message, "More than 'Best,' we deliver 'Just' precision machining and development," expressing a corporate image of providing high-quality products with greater flexibility and at the optimal time. The website systematically organizes technologies such as turning, milling, cold forging/heading, and rolling, and instead of showcasing individual technologies, it conveys the company's ability to combine multiple technologies to create high quality and high added value. Through examples of past achievements and project case studies, the site aims to serve as a sales platform that initiates inquiries.
■ Recruitment website: To alleviate the anxieties of young talent and share a culture of taking on challenges.
The recruitment website targets individuals in their late 20s to 30s who love manufacturing, possess initiative and teamwork skills, and are eager to take on new challenges. We organized information about job responsibilities, employees, company culture, benefits, and career paths to minimize pre- and post-employment anxieties and misunderstandings. Our recruitment concept is "Open Mind for Everyone," expressing an environment where employees understand and interact with each other to develop technology. Beyond external recruitment publicity, the site also serves as an internal branding tool, sharing our desired organizational culture within the company.
■ Brochures: A sales tool for generating conversation at trade shows.
The brochure was created with the intention of being used at trade shows where automotive-related manufacturers exhibit and attend. Even within the limited time available, the brand message and visuals, centered around the tagline, were developed to allow attendees to intuitively understand Nissin Technis's processing areas and strengths, and were consistent with those on the company website. Rather than being just a company guide that directs people to the website, it was designed as a sales communication tool where staff members can explain their technology and achievements and elicit customer challenges.
04 LH Method Execution Support
Continue to commit to achieving the vision (responding to changes in circumstances)
Based on the principle of "Finding the right product," we are moving towards building the next market and organization.
In this project, starting with changes in the market environment, we took stock of our own technologies and experience and redefined Nissin Technis's value as "delivering the optimal solution to our customers through multiple processing methods and the expertise of skilled workers."
■ Establishing a common language for sales activities
By using a consistent brand message across the company website and brochures, sales representatives can easily explain not only the variety of processing methods but also the value proposition of "how to combine different technologies to address customer challenges." This provides a foundation for clearly communicating to potential customers, even those meeting Nissin Technis for the first time at trade shows, "what kind of company they can consult."
■ Conveying both stability and challenge to young talent
Our recruitment website aims to convey both the sense of security derived from our long history and track record in the automotive parts sector, and our future potential by challenging ourselves in other industries and new technologies. We have provided information that allows job seekers to specifically check the job content, workplace atmosphere, and their compatibility with the company, and the website is designed to reduce mismatches after hiring while creating connections with motivated individuals.
■ Making the brand the basis for internal decision-making
"Perfect Fit for Every Product" is both an external slogan and a shared phrase that embodies the values each employee strives for in their daily work. It clearly demonstrates our commitment to finding the optimal solution in terms of technology, quality, cost, and delivery time for our customers' needs, and serves as a common guideline to encourage cross-departmental collaboration and proactive proposals.
By conveying the same brand value across different touchpoints—the company website, recruitment site, and brochures—we are connecting sales activities, recruitment activities, and organizational development in a single direction. Each piece of production plays its role independently, while the more people interact with it, the deeper their understanding of Nissin Technis's unique identity becomes.
■ Towards the future: Meeting new markets through the combination of technologies
Electronic and advanced vehicle control systemsChanges in the automotive industry, including those mentioned above, will affect the demand for existing products, but they will also present an opportunity for Nissin Technis to expand its accumulated processing technology and experience into new fields. Moving forward, as they enter other industries, including medical and aerospace, and propose new technologies, we will support their challenge as a company that meets customer needs, starting from the core of their brand, "Perfect Fit for Quality."
