Bringing together over 30 strengths into a single brand: Website renewal for printed circuit board manufacturer Matsuwa Sangyo.
Matsuwa Sangyo is a printed circuit board manufacturer that pursues short delivery times, high difficulty, and high quality. We actually created their PC website about 10 years ago, and they contacted us again when they were considering a complete redesign.
Against the backdrop of external factors such as the diversification of browsing users' devices and changes in the web strategies of competing companies, we have decided to redesign our website with the aim of supporting new sales activities.
The planning stage began with re-evaluating our company's strengths. After several meetings with the project members and writing them down, we rediscovered that not only were our strengths the same as before, but we had also discovered far more new strengths than we had imagined. There were over 30 of them. By labeling and organizing them, we were able to summarize them into three keywords: "speed, technology, and quality."
Next, when considering the main visual, we proposed using the "word cloud" technique to utilize the sub-keywords that we had originally intended to omit, resulting in an animation that intuitively expresses the many strengths and appealing aspects of the product.
Furthermore, given the lack of a clear corporate color scheme, the client requested a complete overhaul of the color scheme during the renewal. We used a survey to articulate the impression they wanted to convey to new prospective customers, and then redesigned the color scheme by working backward from that linguistic image using color engineering principles.
