“What is a management plan presentation that won't make you sleepy?!

Thanks to everyone's support, we were able to successfully hold our 18th annual business plan presentation meeting the other day.
We would like to express our gratitude to our customers and all our partners who have lent us their support.

The annual business plan presentation.
Many companies will hold events on various scales, but from the employees' perspective...Sometimes people think of it as "a boring time to listen to a sleepy story."
Not everyone is like that. Of course, I think there are people who listen carefully and take it to heart.
"I have to make sure I don't fall asleep!" - a day to psych myself up in a different way.
I've felt that way many times at my previous companies. I'd try to eat meals that wouldn't make me sleepy on the day of the event, or prepare something cooling to keep me awake.
As a working adult belonging to an organization, I understand that I need to listen carefully.
But why does that happen?
To put it simply"I feel like they're talking about something that's completely unrelated to me."Perhaps that's why I can't picture it in relation to my own daily work.
I think this feeling is felt more strongly by those who have experienced it more than once, and especially by those at the lower levels of the organization.
When you hear something for the first time, you don't really understand what it is, and you're also nervous.

However, this time, our company's management plan presentation wasn't the kind of event that would make you doze off...

At our company, the first half of the meeting will consist of a review of the previous fiscal year, followed by a presentation by the president on the current fiscal year's business plan.
In reviewing the previous term, in line with the company's overall activities,They shared with everyone what each employee had worked on, their achievements, and expressed their appreciation for their efforts.
Regardless of my career length or skills, they were able to see my actions, changes in my situation, and my growth.

Of course, it's not all good news; we also have to tell you what we lacked.
I felt like I wasn't alone, and I was genuinely happy.Is.
Perhaps that's why I was able to accept it as something that directly affected me.
In the second half, I was able to communicate to everyone the specific initiatives and challenges I would like them to take on, in line with the company's activities this term.
I was able to listen to the business plan announcement as something that was relevant to me as well.
That was the first time I'd ever experienced something like that.
Perhaps they're frustrated because they have employees who fall asleep on the job every year? Or maybe they want to establish a shared understanding with management?
In this business plan announcement,They may have made efforts to "communicate effectively."

Who is this presentation for?

The content of the announcement will likely differ depending on whether it's directed at external parties or internal employees.
The significance of the time spent communicating depends entirely on how the listener interprets the message and whether it leaves a lasting impression on them.
If it's for employees, then all employeesContent that I can relate to personally. If you don't do that, it will induce sleep.
The business plan presentation is an opportunity to announce and share what the company aims to achieve and what activities it will undertake over the next year.
This is also an opportunity for all employees to unite and move forward in the same direction! Therefore, those in charge of communication have a responsibility to clearly convey the purpose and intent of the plan.
If we could successfully share the plan within the company, don't you think employees would feel more refreshed and positive? And it would be great to start the new term in that state of mind, wouldn't it?
Tips for presenting a business plan:Easy to understand for staff of all generations! Is.
Since our company has fewer than 20 employees, we were probably able to communicate with each person individually.
I can only imagine how challenging it is to keep track of the efforts and growth of every single employee.
However, employees who feel supported and cared for are more likely to think for themselves and take action.
The way we communicate is incredibly important...that's what I realized during the business plan presentation.

After the business plan presentation, we moved to another location for a social gathering with thorough COVID-19 precautions in place.
There, I received not only the "gift of words (gratitude)" that the president conveyed at the management plan presentation, but also a "tangible gift (gift certificates!!)"!!!
For the next year, we will continue to put into practice our management philosophy of "creating smiles."
We aim to create smiles for our customers, partners, and colleagues.

Incidentally, this gift was obtained by exchanging points accumulated from payments made with a corporate credit card.
These points could be effectively utilized by linking them to company events.
